Have a jingle stuck in your head from a commercial that you saw on tv? It's most likely one from Comcast whose company offers high speed internet. Offering up to seven accounts for e-mail, 10 GB of storage are also available. It's performance speeds vary depending on how much the customer would like to pay. It is advertised for downloading and uploading starting at the Performance speed of 12 Mbps/ 2 Mbps, Blast! whose speed can go up to 16 Mbps/ 4 Mbps, Ultra whose speed is 22 Mbps/ 5 Mbps, and Extreme 50 with 50 Mbps/ 10 Mbps. Comcast also offers PowerBoost which can be added to your package to increase your speed. Prices vary for these packages depending on where you live and what can be offered. The website is more difficult to navigate and is difficult to get an exact description of what exactly it is that Comcast offers. It claims to have an "enhanced fiber optic network" but then lacks any literature describing what or where there is a fiber optic connection. Comcast does have a triple play package, like other companies such as Verizon, in which you can get your internet, telephone, and television connection from one provider.

Ring a ding ding

While it seems like this is what people used in the stone age, this type of service is still available. ATT offers a dial up service that "combines the most powerful features of Yahoo! with the extremely reliable Internet connection of ATT Internet Services." This service provider allows up to 10 additional accounts, with "virtually unlimited storage space and much, much more". Wondering what the price is? So am I! In order to find out the price you are required to call an 800 number. Don't wait on the edge of your seat, it will probably take you a while to get a quote as well as waiting to get online. This website offers little information. Dial up is like when Bush was president...there's no need to go back.
Opting for Fiber Optics
"Nothing's faster than a fiber-optic network, especially when it connects directly to your home". You may be one of the lucky ones to to able to switch over to Verizon's FiOs. What makes this different from other service providers is that it uses fiber optics as opposed to cable. Claiming to be faster, Verizon FiOs offers packages that include different download speeds ranging from 15 Mbps to 50 Mbps and uploading speeds ranging from 5 Mbps to 20 Mbps. These packages vary in price depending on the speed desired. This service can be offered whether or not the homeowner uses Verizon as its landline phone. For a Verizon home phone customer packages are available starting at $49.99/month to $139.99/month. With this service, the customer can have up to nine accounts. With a small additional cost users can store and shared files and pictures. Depending on the storage capacity desired the price can range from $1.99/month to $19.99/month.
